What is Kelp Sea Life Organic Fertilizer?
|
An Introduction to Seaweed, Fertilizer, and Kelp Sea Life
|
 |
What is Kelp Sea Life?
Kelp Sea Life is a Liquid Kelp Specialty Fertilizer made from Northern Pacific Giant Kelp (Macrocystis Integrifolia), hand harvested from the pristine waters of British Columbia. The kelp is then cold-processed without the use of chemicals, high temperatures, or pressure, into a soupy liquid which is fine enough to be sprayed without clogging spray equipment. Kelp Sea Life can be used alone or in concert with other commonly used organic garden products. Seaweed has centuries of proven performance.
Does it smell?
No animal or fish odors.
Will it work on my plants or crops?
Seaweed is designed by nature, has been used in the fields of mankind since the beginning of time, and is environmentally sound - think of it as Mother Nature in a Bottle. Decades of research also confirm its efficacy on a wide variety of plants and crops.
How does it compare to other garden products .....?
Nature has already invented what the agrichemical companies are spending money trying to duplicate.
What would you rather use? Compare the following features of Kelp Sea Life to any other product you can think of:
Benefits to Plants and Crops
-100% natural organic concentrate
-Contains vital trace elements necessary for plant growth and development
-Promotes seed germination

-Great Dollar Value per acre of coverage. Dilutes @200:1 which is equivalent to 2 Liters / hectare or 1 Liter / 1.2 acres
-Unlimited shelf life!
Benefits to the Environment
-Biodegradable
-No chemical run-off
-Improves soil quality
-No chemical contamination of water tables
-Benefits the composting process
How does it work? What's in it?
Scientists have been trying for decades to unravel the mysteries of seaweed and plant growth. Agrichemical companies have been searching for years for chemical compounds which mimic the performance of seaweed. According to Dr. T.L. Senn, of Clemson University and respected author of the book Seaweed and Plant Growth, "The reasons why seaweed extracts are beneficial to plant growth are still not fully understood. This is not so difficult to appreciate, for anyone working with plants knows that nature reveals her secrets reluctantly."
Is it safe?
Kelp Sea Life is Environmentally Sound for many reasons:
-It's Natural and Organic
-No chemical alteration of the kelp's own natural properties occurs during the harvesting and bottling process.
-No chemicals are used in manufacturing
-It's Biodegradable
-Seaweed products are used in foods and dietary supplements all the time
-Unlike alternative fertilizers, there are no health dangers from handling diseased animal manures
-What would you rather spray on your indoor plants, Kelp Sea Life or a traditional fertilizer?
Why should I buy it?
Decades of Research - Centuries of use!
Improved crop quality,and yield.
The following quotes are from the book, Seaweed and Plant Growth, by T.L. Senn, Ph.D.
"Utilization of seaweed in crop rotation dates back to antiquity." 1-3
"Seaweed, no doubt, outdates man by a considerable amount of time. Man has been using seaweed for food and in the growth of plants since his very beginning. Early man, perhaps, cared less why seaweed influenced plant growth. He found them, used them, and was happy."
"All of us use seaweed everyday in various ways. Everyone uses it subconsciously:.....lipstick, shampoo, ice cream, beer, and plastic plus many others."
"Why use seaweed? Seaweed extract aids the plant in development, which puts more fruit on the tree, more pods on the vine, more grains on the cob, and, of course more money in the pocketbook."
"Algae derive their nourishment from substances held in solution by water. The water in which commercial seaweed grows is non-polluted and therefore the products are non-toxic and safe for use on food products. They do not contaminate the environment, thereby helping to maintain a healthy world in which to live."
"Seaweed can play a role in a supporting capacity for a reduction in commercial fertilizer application with no reduction in yield or quality of the crops."
"The chemical composition of seaweed is mainly determined by the conditions in which it grew."
